Mike Sullivan: All right. Joining us now is Tim Miller with Silhouette. Tim has been working with us at Bay Eye Center for nine years now. So Tim, thank you very much for joining us. We appreciate it. First question I want to ask when people say and hear, Silhouette, what do you want them to think about? What is the Silhouette brand?

Tim Miller: Silhouette is a privately owned company that started in 1964. So we are a third generation of family. Owning it. So we’re totally independent. We are we offer the lightest weight frames in the industry and a hundred percent customization, no matter if it’s a drill three piece drill mount, which Silhouette is primarily known for, or their plastics and their full rim product.

There’s no screws. They, the XPX material that we use never fades and does not crack over time.

Mike Sullivan: That is impressive. I love that. So we offer several designer brands and frames at Bay Eye Center. My eye appointment is coming up in the next couple weeks. I told Drew in the Mansfield office that I would be buying a new pair of glasses this year.

So when I walk into Bay Eye Center or when I’m walking out after my appointment, why should I choose a brand new pair of silhouette glasses and frames over all of the other selections?

Tim Miller: Silhouette offers many different combinations with like the drills. If you go into something similar to what I have on, you can totally customize your lens shape with the color of the chassis and with the lens and make it totally your own.

There’s a two year warranty, it’s 100 percent titanium, so they’re extremely lightweight, and once you get your RX put into your frame, the weight of that frame is equivalent to three paper clips.

Mike Sullivan: Holy cow.

Tim Miller: Because once you wear a silhouette, most likely you will always come back to a silhouette because of the lightweight and the, just the comfort that it offers.

Mike Sullivan: Three paperclips. That is super light. That feels pretty comfortable to me. You mentioned customization. So when it comes to customization, I have this odd shaped head here. What does Silhouette have to offer when it comes to that?

Tim Miller: Silhouette offers over 500 different lens shapes. So that way you can totally pick the lens shape that you want to go on the frame.

That way you can make it your own. You can either go square, round, aviator oval. Like the possibilities are endless.

Mike Sullivan: And is that silhouette that you’re wearing right now?

Tim Miller: Correct.

Mike Sullivan: Very good. Last question, just anything else you’d like to add that you want all of us at Bay Eye Center to know, all of our patients?

Tim Miller: Just that we are, we are independent family-owned company. So you’re not going to find this in LensCrafters or any of the big box locations. And we support the independent optometrists and ophthalmologists. And we also offer hundreds of different lens shapes in order to make it 100 percent customization.

Mike Sullivan: Very good, Tim. Tim Miller with Silhouette. I appreciate your time and expertise. Thank you very much.

Tim Miller: Thank you.
