John Mooney Cataracts Surgery Testimonial

by | Apr 18, 2022 | Blog | 0 comments

John Mooney has been a loyal Bay Eye Center patient for more than a dozen years – and he lived with cataracts for at least that long.

“It was so gradual, I didn’t notice it,” he said. “But over the course of a few years, I realized I didn’t need to wear sunglasses anymore. The world got increasingly dark. Cloudy days started bothering me more because, for me, they were cloudier than they actually were.”

John met with Dr. Lynch for his yearly ocular health evaluation. That’s when Dr. Lynch told John he should consider catract surgery.

John decided to do it, and he says it changed the quality of his life.

“My outlook on life is LITERALLY brighter!,” he said.

IFrameJohn also has a message for anyone who has cataracts.

“I was kind of nervous about the surgery, but it was easy. I walked in at 7 a.m. They prepped me for about 30 minutes, and the actual surgery was less than five minutes! I was walking on the beach later that afternoon and I saw colors that I didn’t know existed,” John said.

John tells us he couldn’t be happier. Neither could we.

“The wonderful people at Bay Eye Center truly are caring and compassionate, and they’re in the business of helping people. That’s their mission,” he said.

Why thank you, John. We couldn’t say it better ourselves.

So if the cloudy days of April seem extra cloudy or foggy… we’re here to help.

It’s important to note that everyone develops cataracts. Dr. Lynch says they’re like wrinkles. They develop slowly as you age.

From all of us at Bay Eye Center,

Thank you
