Meet Dr. Allard Lucero

Dr. Alayna Allard Lucero graduated from The University of Hartford, where she completed their accelerated degree program and served as president of the Pre-Medical Club during her final year. She then pursued her Doctor of Optometry degree at the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston, graduating in 2013.

With over ten years of experience, Dr. Allard Lucero practiced in a high-volume, medically-oriented practice on the South Coast of Massachusetts. There, she provided comprehensive eye exams, medical office visits, follow-up care, contact lens exams, post-op care, and urgent eye care. Her special interests include the treatment and management of dry eye and ocular nutrition.

Dr. Allard Lucero’s passion for optometry began at a young age when she started wearing glasses at nine years old. In high school, she chose optometry as the subject for a career project, which sparked her interest even further. She began shadowing her optometrist, who was also the chief optometrist at the Veterans Hospital in White River Junction, VT. This hands-on experience solidified her decision to pursue optometry as a career.

Dr. Allard Lucero is thrilled to be working closer to home at Bay Eye Center in Plymouth, where she and her family reside. Her husband, a Plymouth native, and their three children enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking the area’s many trails or enjoying the local beaches.
